Overview
When new data collections are introduced or significant changes are made to current collections, The Department often releases a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document. The purpose of these documents is to provide reporting guidance to the field and to answer common questions. Links to these documents will be included in the SIRS Manual.

SIRS Reporting Timelines and Guidance Memos
Overview
The SIRS Reporting Guidance Memo highlights data collection requirements and deadlines for public school districts (school districts), Board of Cooperative ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëùal Services (BOCES), charter schools, and Religious and Independent schools (collectively referred to as Local ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù Agencies or LEAs) for reporting the school year (SY) data to the ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëù (NYSED) via the Student Information Repository System (SIRS) and the Basic ÃØÃÜÑо¿Ëùal Data System (BEDS) Institutional Master File (IMF).
The NYSED SIRS Timeline indicates when the data are to be reported to the NYSED Level 2 (L2) Data Warehouse by your Level 1 (L1) Reporting Center.
