Requesting a Refund for Application Fees
If you submitted an educator certification application in error through TEACH, you may request a refund. Refunds are issued at the discretion of the Office of Teaching Initiatives (OTI). While we are not required to provide refunds, we review requests carefully and may issue them when appropriate to support applicants.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered only if the application has not yet been processed by OTI. Once an application has been evaluated or reviewed, it is no longer eligible for a refund. If you believe you applied in error, you should submit your request as soon as possible.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Log in to your TEACH account to:
- Confirm your application status
- Ensure your contact information is current
- Submit a refund request using the , including:
- Application details
- Reason for the request
Applications Not Eligible for Refunds
The following application types are not eligible for refunds:
- Duplicate or printed certificate applications
- Disapproved applications
- Expired certificates
- Unpaid applications
Important Notes
- Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Processing may take several weeks
- Approved refunds are issued by check only
- Checks are mailed to the address listed in your TEACH account
- Electronic refunds are not available
